Sitting in the back of the same exhibit where I took the shot of the giraffe, there was a vulture patiently waiting. He never moved the entire time we were there, and when I came back later that day, he still was at his log.
What an eye you have. I know I've said it before, and you may think I'm biased. Well, I am, but that aside, you really have a gift for photography. A photo of a vulture might not be the best time to bring it up but look at how well you've framed the shot and used the space. Beautifully done.
I have noticed the more I take pictures the easier it is to see what makes a good composition. I am still working on improving it, but I am glad that you like it.
For this one, I liked the fact that this was a shot that I didn't think a lot of people would see. He was sitting so quietly in the background with the much cuter animals up front. In fact he was so far in the back that I wasn't sure how the shot would come out.
I wish I had him a bit sharper in focus, but I had to use the digital zoom to get close enough to get the shot right. But in the end, he really came out just as I was hoping.
Not bad at all for a digital zoom shot. The image is sharp. Composition is an emotion Heather, take pictures with your soul and use your body only to click.
I live in Arizona and have all my life. However I have traveled both with work and for personal reasons. I wanted to put together a site where I could post some of my favorite pictures and hopefully motivate me to go out and take more.
Pacience is a virtue...
