The drive up to Mt. St. Helens crosses over the Toutle River. The weather that day was raining and overcast. The clouds came down so low you could see them settling into the trees just above your head. The downside was they closed the observatories 2 days prior. The upside however, was we had the entire park almost completely to ourselves.
A very nice scenic, good perspective too!
ReplyDeleteI live in Arizona so we don't get a lot of fog or low cloud cover, which was partially why I loved the view. The other part was it was just a beautiful park and the clouds were just mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of my favorite places to visit, and I would love to go back and see it again.
