Two Sides

I was mesmerized by the beauty of this Zebra Swallowtail, and it appeared to be just as enthralled by the flower it had settled onto. It allowed me to go all the way around to the other side to snap the reverse picture.

Cactus Wren

Perched on top of a tall saguaro cactus is a small cactus wren feeding from the blossoms. This was taken at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona.

Frog on a Bench

Why is the frog on the bench? Well I imagine he just got tired and needed to rest. Taken at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in Atlanta, Georgia.

Spicebrush Swallowtail

These butterflies loved the bottle brush plants, but they could not land on them to feed. They would flit from plant to plant, which made it a lot of fun to try and capture them. This was taken at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona.

Hibiscus

Very pretty flower, and a very funny name. You get it all with a hibiscus! Taken in my friend's backyard in Gilbert, Arizona.

Never Mess with a Baboon

Showing off his teeth in a frightening display, this baboon helps us to remember why you always keep a careful distance of this primate. I would hate to meet him in the wild. This was taken at the Phoenix Zoo in Phoenix, Arizona.
